Spice up your steak night with the addition of our new Vindaloo sauce.
Ingredients
700 gms baby potatoes
1 tbsp Chaat masala (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and Pepper to season
500 gms Sirloin steaks- 2 x 250 gms each
2 tbsp Tandoori masala
Salt to season
1 jar of Cassia at Home Vindaloo sauce
Basil leaves or herb of choice.
Method
Boil potatoes in a large pot with water. Once soft drain and cut any large potatoes into half or quarters to get even pieces.
Drizzle potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper and air fry or roast in the oven at 200 degrees C for 15 minutes until crispy. Season the potatoes with chaat masala and set aside.
Season each steak with salt on all sides. Next rub in tandoori masala on all sides and leave to marinade for 5 minutes.
Drizzle oil on the steaks. Heat a grill or frypan on high heat.
Cook the steak 2 to 3 minutes each side. Set aside, off the heat to rest for 5 minutes Warm the Vindaloo sauce in a sauce pan.
Once it reaches a simmer take it off the heat.
Slice the steak and place on a plate. Add the potatoes to the side of the steak and spoon warmed Vindaloo sauce beside the steak and potatoes.
Garnish with basil or other herb.
